About Pure Zawaj

Our Story

Pure Zawaj was founded after noticing a growing challenge in the UK Muslim community: sincere individuals wanting to get married, but struggling to do so in a structured, faith-led way.

As parents and active community members, we saw many young Muslims unsure of where to start. While working closely with several well-known mosques in Birmingham, it became clear that the need was much bigger than we imagined. The demand for organised, mosque-led marriage services is not just in Birmingham, it exists across the country.

At the same time, many mosques want to help, but face real challenges:

• Limited administrative staff.
• Financial constraints to create structured systems.
• Little time to manage enquiries, screenings, and follow-ups.

Because of this, marriage support can be informal, inconsistent, or hard to maintain.

We believe it does not have to be this way. When a Muslim is ready to get married, they should not have to search far. They should be able to turn to their local mosque and start the process with confidence, supported by the community they trust.

Marriage is more than a social arrangement, it is a sacred covenant. The mosque has always been at the heart of the Muslim community, and it should guide and support this important life step.

By giving mosques the right tools and structure, we can ensure more Muslims get married with dignity, support, and guidance from trusted community leaders.

Over the last four years, Pure Zawaj has invested heavily in creating a private system built just for mosques. This system:

We have built the framework so mosques can focus on supporting their communities, without having to start from scratch.
