Why This Matters

For many Muslims today, finding marriage has become increasingly difficult.

What was once simple and community-led has gradually become fragmented — with many unsure where to begin, who to trust, or how to approach the process in a way that feels right.

At the same time, mosques remain central to our communities — yet many do not have the structure needed to support marriage in a consistent and scalable way.

Our Vision

Our vision is simple — to bring marriage back to where it naturally belongs.

Within our mosques. Within our communities. Within a setting built on trust.

When someone is ready for marriage, they should not feel lost or unsure where to go.

They should be able to turn to their local mosque and begin that journey in a way that feels natural, supported, and aligned with their values.

Built From Real Community Experience

Pure Zawaj has been supporting marriage services through mosques in Birmingham for a number of years, working directly within the community and seeing firsthand both the demand and the challenges people face.

That experience made one thing clear — this issue is too important to remain limited to one or two mosques.

More mosques need to be part of the solution. That is why Pure Zawaj has invested in building the infrastructure, systems, and processes required to allow mosques to introduce this service more seamlessly within their congregation.

What Pure Zawaj Does

Pure Zawaj is a UK-based not-for-profit initiative providing a structured marriage service through mosques across the UK.

A Structured and Safeguarded Approach
  • Verified member profiles
  • Structured introductions
  • Meetings held through mosques or online via volunteers
  • A process designed around trust and accountability
  • Operational systems already built to support mosque rollout

Why Mosques Work With Us

Making It Easier for Mosques to Offer Marriage Support

Many mosques want to support those seeking marriage, but building and managing a full marriage service internally can be difficult.

Pure Zawaj has already made that investment. We have developed the infrastructure, process, and operating model so mosques can introduce this service in a practical and sustainable way.

This allows mosques to offer a valuable and much-needed service to their congregation without having to create everything from scratch.

Who This Is For

Supporting Mosques and Individuals

We support mosques in offering a meaningful service to their communities without adding unnecessary internal workload.

At the same time, we provide individuals with a clear and trusted pathway to marriage — removing confusion and bringing the process back into a supported environment.

Who We Are

Pure Zawaj is led by a small UK-based team committed to making marriage more accessible through our mosques.

Our approach is not built around profit, but community benefit — focusing on creating a system that genuinely serves the wider Muslim community.

Everything we do is guided by a simple aim — to make marriage easier, clearer, and more connected to the mosque.
